Welcome to Havercroft Academy

As parents, choosing the school that we would wish our child to attend is one of the most important decisions we have to make. We are anxious to be assured that our child will be happy and secure, that he or she will be enabled to achieve his/her full potential and that he or she will enjoy their primary school days.

We at Havercroft are committed to developing an innovative and forward thinking school.

We believe that children should, in the future, be able to look back at their primary schools days as a time when they were happy, where work was stimulating and challenging and each achievement was recognised.

The school seeks to ensure that children attain the highest possible standards in Literacy and Numeracy through quality learning experiences in the full range of National Curriculum subjects, within a supportive and challenging environment. We insist on the highest standards of behavior and expect that children will do their best at all times. All children should leave school at the end of the day happy and eager to share with you some of their experiences.

We firmly believe that these school’s aims can be best achieved through a partnership between home and school and where you as a parent are fully involved in your child’s education and the life of the school.

Havercroft is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The school will, throughout the time your child is with us, seek to keep you fully informed of his/her progress. As parents you are welcome to visit school at all times. If your child has a problem or if you have a concern about anything in school you are always welcome to come to school and discuss it with me.

Our website contains a great deal of information. If they have not answered all of your questions please feel free to contact me or to arrange a time to visit if you would like to see more of the school.

Yours sincerely
